本文属于应用文中的书信，所以需要注意书信的特殊格式以及特殊用语。要求以李越的口吻向图书馆王老师推荐科普类图书（popular science books）和文学类图书（literary books）。要点：1.你向王老师推荐这两类书。2.理由：科普类图书帮助我们理解科技的基本原则，引起我们的好奇心和发展意识。文学类的书可以提高我们的文学素养。鼓励我们批判类的思维。 本文对于考生的综合能力要求较高，要求考生有很强的谋篇布局的能力和组织要点的能力。首先要选择自己熟悉的短语或者句型，在你的能力范围之内，选择句式时要赋予变化，因为这样你才可以更好的驾驭。同时也要选择合适的连接词，把各个要点组织成一个完整的整体，如besides, further, last but not least等。在发表个人观点的时候，可以使用谚语来提升整个文章的档次和文采，也能增加得高分的可能性。 【一句多译】

2014浙江高考英语作文要求学生向学校图书馆推荐“科普类”和“文学类”两种类型的书籍，并且说明推荐这两种书的理由，但不要求学生描述这两种书中的具体内容。
今年高考英语写作的话题乍看之下可能会让部分同学觉得不知所措，因为此类话题并非大家之前连续五年已经习惯了的夹叙夹议的形式，前五年的英语作文基本上是“一半记叙、一半评论”的结构，但是今年却省略了其中“记叙”的部分，更加偏重应用性。很多同学会觉得平时模拟试题中重点训练的“夹叙夹议”写作类型在今年的作文中完全没有任何借鉴意义，然而事实并非如此：我们原来在课堂当中所教授的依靠“句型”取胜的“7句法”在今年的作文当中依然有效；并且今年作文类型完全符合《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要(2010-2020年)》中对学生高考英语能力的具体要求，即实用性应该成为学生学习英语的重要指向标。
大部分考生刚拿到题目的时候会被书信的格式所困扰，其实在高考英语作文中，无论是书信、演讲稿或者板报等题材形式都不是考生需要关注的重点。因此，书信的格式往往是不需要考生特别关注的。高考阅卷标准中已经明确了此类作文的评分三大依据：第一，符合中心，达到写作目的。第二，高级词汇和多样性复杂语法的应用。第三，连词的恰当使用。

此外，文章还使用了大量习语和短语，如be worth doing sth; stick to sth.; have a good time; have lots of fun , tend to do 等。
考点：考查观点理由。 二．如何提高英语写作
作文是英语考试中最灵活的一道题，一定要内容完整，要点不全则难得高分。英语作文答题要有步骤：审清要点——确定时态——写好提纲，打好草稿——工整誊写。
考生特别是基础较好的写作时要尽量使用多样词汇和短语，选择有变化的句型结构，长短句交替使用，学会活用句型。短句子的使用使文章简洁明快。复杂句型的使用可使文章增色。准确使用过渡词，使文章行文连贯。要想得高分的作文确实要有比较复杂的结构，但不能为了复杂而复杂。基础不牢的学生要首先注意语言的正确性，没有把握的词汇或句型不要乱用。
尽量避免“低能词汇”
在批改过的上万份英语作文中，经常能发现一些将中文生硬地翻译成英文的表达法。目前很大一部分学生的作文都处在14分左右，写作满分30分，18分也就是个及格分，那么14分和20多分的作文到底差在哪里？这个问题很容易回答。14分的作文中规中矩，该对的都对，包括内容要点的完整，语法与词形的正确，但是全都是很简单句子的堆砌，没有任何亮点。而20多分的作文句型词汇方面就做了很好的包装，语句中有很多亮点。
在高考作文阅卷过程中，老师会对一些“高级”词汇尤为偏爱。但是，大多数同学根本不具备单词升级意识，一想到“好”，就是“good”；一想到“坏”，就是“bad”；一想到“美丽”就是“beautiful”。当老师一天批阅上千份“内容相同、语言低龄”的作文时，她的感受可想而知。 因此，考生要尽量避免这些“低能词汇”，让自己的词汇升级。
写作提分的三要素——句型、连词、高级词汇。句子是英语写作文最大的单位，有了漂亮的句子，用好的连词将其连句成段，再加上一些如星星般亮点词汇的点缀，一篇好的高考英语作文就有了。而这三个因素中最容易把握的是句子，最难的是高级词汇，限于大家的词汇比较有限，一篇文章中出现那么一两个就够了。我们应该把重心放在句型上，因为这个最容易把握。
不要用太过艰涩的长句。学生英语作文中错词太多、形神俱散，这些都是影响作文得分的因素。作文中一个突出的问题就是考生写不到重点，很多时候是凑字数。有的考生虽然有内容可写，但是无关紧要的话写得过多，导致中心内容没有表达清楚。有些作文的开头和结尾与话题相关，但中间却夹杂着一些无关信息。这些作文都会被扣除较大比例的分数。
如果考生想拿高分，首先不要出现较多拼写错误的单词。其次不要用太过艰涩的长句，因为这种长句运用不好容易出现语法错误，反而会被扣分。用正常的句式表述完整意思就行。作文的开头和结尾比较重要，要点题或者升华题意，这样的作文容易吸引老师、拿到高分。 完稿后查遗漏，整洁干净莫忘记。
2016年高考正在紧张的备考阶段，高考英语是考生们复习的重点，为了方便同学们复习，编整理了以下常用连词和句式：
(1)表选择关系或对等关系的连接词：either„or„, neither„nor„, or, as well as, and, both„and„.
(2)表因果关系的连接词：therefore, so, as a result（consequence）,consequently, because of, due to, owing to, thanks to等。
(3)表时间顺序的连接词：the moment, as soon as, at first, then, later, meanwhile, at the beginning, in the end, before long, for the first time, the minute.
(4)表转折关系的连接词： while, on the contrary, on the other hand, however,等。
(6)表递进关系的连接词：not only„but (also), what’s more, what’s worse, besides, in addition, moreover,等。
(7)表总结的连接词：in a word, on the whole, in short, briefly, in brief, to sum up, in all等 常用句式： 第一组
