The Opening Speech of English Festival
Dear teachers and students :
Good afternoon !
亲爱的老师，同学们，大家下午好。
It’s my great honor to be here to give all of you a speech on the arrangement for the second English Festival of our School.
很荣幸在这里宣读鞍山华育分校第二届英语节活动方案。
English is the most widely used language in the world.Learning English is certainly important.The English festival is the best chance for us to exchange our study result.
英语是当今世界上应用最广泛的语言。那么对于我们来说，英语的学习无疑是非常重要的。英语节为我们交流学习成果提供了一个最佳的平台。
Our English festival will be held from Mar.27 to Apr.3.Everyone will be welcome to join in our English Festival .
我校定于3月27日至4月3日期间，举行第二届校园英语节。欢迎同学们踊跃参与。
Let me explainthe plan for the activities during the English Festival:
现在让我来介绍一下有关英语节的活动内容：
Our slogan is “The power of role model”.
我们的口号是榜样的力量。
There are many activitiesduring the English Festival。
本次英语节活动丰富。
Today we will have aGueing Bee,
今天的开幕式后，我们将进行英语猜词大赛。
And we haveEnglish newspapers compete the next two days.在接下来的两天时间里，我们将进行“秀我最爱”英语手抄报比赛。
From Mar.28 to 29, we will watch an American Movie during the lunch break.
3月28至29日，我们在午休时间观看一部英语原声电影《阿基拉和拼字大赛》，了解风靡全球的全美拼字大赛。
On Mar.29,we will have a gueing game about proverbs.
在3月29日，我们将进行英语谚语猜猜猜大赛。
on the last day of the festival,we will have Spelling Bee.and the closing ceremony.
在英语节的最后一天，我们将举办首届“我爱记单词”杯英语拼字大赛决赛。然后是英语节的闭幕式和颁奖典礼。
So boys and girls,come on!I’m sure that the activities would be more wonderful with your participation.
