A few days ago, I saw a movie directed by Li An.According to Yang •Mattel’s novel, Li An adapted it to this movie.It mainly tells story that young pie and a Bengal tiger Richard parker stayed afloat 227 days.
Pie’s father ran a zoo.Because of it, Pie had his own views for faith and human nature.Pie thinks that‘faith is like a house, can have a lot of room’ .What made me impreed is Pie’s father told him ‘all beliefs is all not to believe’.In my opinion, I agree with Pie’s father.We have to make sure what our faiths are.Once we lose our faiths, we will feel confused for our life.Thanks to the faith, we have the firm hope to live our life.
When Pie was 17, his parents decided their family immigrated to Canada to pursue a better life.During the immigration, the ship which they took suffered an accident.Pie’s families all died.Fortunately, Pie fell into a lifeboat and survived.He began to stay afloat.In the boat, there’s not only an injured zebra, but also a hyena, a gorilla and an adult Bengal tiger.In the first three days, hyena ate the injured zebra and bit the deadly orangutan.The Bengal tiger Richard parker killed the hyena.Pie saw the animal’s nature thoroughly.Animal and person have substantial distinctions, forgetting that some people will die.Now I understand this point deeply.Everything in the world has its own instinct, besides animals.In order to live, it will urge us do everything.Animal is such a
creature, what about the mankind?
Freud said that a person is composited by ID, Ego and Superego.In general, we work following Ego.However, when we can’t meet our basic survival instinct, we may be led by id and do something beyond our expectation.Is people’s instinct is good or evil? What should we do define? I think it’s still a difficult question for us.
