网易科技讯8月25日消息，苹果CEO史蒂夫·乔布斯周三正式向苹果董事会提交辞职申请。他推荐公司COO蒂姆·库克接任。他在辞职信中表示，自己无法继续担任CEO，不过自己愿意担任公司董事长、董事或普通职员。
以下为辞职信全文：
给苹果董事会和苹果公司：
我常说，如果有那么一天，我无法再胜任苹果CEO，无法再达到大家的期望值，我会在第一时间告诉你们。不幸的是，那个日子终于到了。
在此，我宣布辞去苹果首席执行官职务。如果董事会认为合适的话，我想担任董事长，或者董事甚至普通职员都可以。 至于我的继任者，我强烈建议实施我们已定的继任计划，并提名蒂姆·库克担任苹果CEO。
我认为，苹果最光明和最具创新力的日子还在后头。我期待着在新的岗位上看护苹果的成功并为此做出贡献。
在苹果我交了一些生命中最好的朋友，我要感谢多年来与我共同努力的所有人。（木秀林）

To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know.
Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple.I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.As far as my succeor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succeion plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it.And I look forward to watching and contributing to its succe in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
