题目:Scientific and technological advances have changed our lives. But some scientists in some fields say that scientists are not able to find solutions to the problems they have created. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

范文:We sure live differently from our parents did decades ago.The changes are wide and profound. At the same time, we are facing challenges and problems unknown in the past.Could we find solutions to problems created by scientific development? The answer seems to be no.Some of the most obvious problems caused by technological advances lie in the IT industry. At a time when we did not have computers and electronic bank services, people took money with them and paid by cash.If they were stolen, only the amount they had with them was lost. But now credit cards are more commonly used in shopping malls and other places, crimes again us have become more serious and caused greater loes to people.A thief may tape the code of your credit card and make a copy of it.Then he could safely withdraw all your money from an ATM machine.Crimes such as this are very sticky to solve because there is no witne and the surveillance cameras give little help to the police.Another example is the iue of information control with the media industry including TV networks and Internet that give easy acce to information without discrimination to people’s age. This has created a huge problem for parents and schools because teenage people are particularly vulnerable to adult materials and information violent in nature. In the past, when most information came in the form of print, it was relatively easy to control what children read. When a parent put away a book unsuitable for children, they were cut off from the source of information. With computer parents could use software to filter bad web sites but could not prevent new ones from appearing every day.People are working very hard to solve such problems that come along with advances in science and technology, but the efforts are not sufficient and not very succeful.Even with the little progre we have achieved, we find ourselves defeated by new problems with greater complexity and in wider scope. In conclusion, developments in many fields of our life have brought us both benefits and problems.Developments in the banking industry give us greater convenience but making us targets of computer-based theft.Changes in media industry expose young people to inappropriate information difficult for parent’s control. However up until now, we have not succefully found permanent solutions yet.

Mobile (cell) phones and the Internet play an important role in the way in whichpeople relate to one another socially. Is this a positive or negative development? What is your opinion? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Now that you are benefitting from the use of the mobile phone and the Internetas social media as well as social interaction, could you imagine what your daily liveswould be like without these inventions ? Living in this age of information technology may be a bleing, but there seems an undesirable feeling under disguise. For that matter, probably what you like would be social connectivity and what you dislike might be personal anxiety.

It is a positive development that people have found it so easy to relate to one another electronically and share instantly in the social context. As technology has advanced, so has the need to remain contact with friends, family and loved ones.Through digital networking, the cell phone and the Internet have opened doors to the current generation\'s lives, as previously unheard of.While it goes without saying themany benefits that the Internet has to offer, the latest hand phones are well-equipped with high end features catering to a variety of communication needs from voice calls to text meaging.Apart from being able to help connect people anywhere andanytime, new handsets of innovative technology boast cutting-edge functions designed to upgrade work performance and provide fun factors, all at your fingertips.Besides, what do you have to say about Facebook, Twitter and Google+ that are out there on your computer screens or on your smart phones?

Neverthele, the heavy use in social networking of the mobile phone and the Internet causes anxiety, not to mention the negative effects produced by poible radiation.Chances are that these gadgets are getting you on nerves. It is not so much because of such networking devices keeping you on alert 24/7 as because of the thought of being without them sometimes. So, there are feelings of increased anxiety during the absence of social mobility, as if when you were psychologically alone in the middle of nowhere. And yet, once people being connected, it appears to be no end of interactive communication, particularly when driving, for instance. In this case, the epidemic of people using cell phones to talk and to send text meages via the Internet behind the wheel could give rise to more of a hazard than drunk driving.

As long as social interaction is concerned, it may be said that the hi-tech mobility is like a useful gift from heaven rather than a psychological disease from hell. The benefits of social interaction through the cellular and the Wi-fi seem indeed too good to be blamed.Whatever, there is no turning back to the age of B.C.(BeforeComputer).

Question:

Nowadays, more modern technologies have been used in entertainment, which may lead to the decrease of human creative power.Do you agree or disagree?

Model Answer:

With more advanced technologies applied widely in our entertainment, some people are quite worried about the poibility that human creative power will be hampered and we tend to be le innovative compared with that in the past.As for me, however, it is somewhat exaggerated. The wide technological applications have aroused great interests in modern technology, thereby boosting strong paion for science. In the past, lack of modern techniques, entertainment seemed rather monotonous, and people usually resorted to exercises in the open air to relax. At present, relaxation has been rendered more comfortable and convenient, such as playing on-line games, singing Karaoke, both diversifying people\'s after-work time.Meanwhile, people marvel at this dramatic change, and focus more on miraculous human wisdom, which partly accounts for an increasing number of youngsters choosing science and engineering as their majors. Moreover, modern people have gained easy acce to recreational activities owing to strides.Computer or mobile phone, can realize the dream of entertainment whenever and we are.For example, electronic games, MP3 players, and e-books all help relax us after arduous work, so we can be more motivated next day.By contrast, if we are under constant preure any interesting spare time, then working efficiency, not to mention creative power, is bound to be affected considerably.

While eulogizing benefits brought out by the combination between technology and entertainment, we should not be blind to its relevant detriments. For example, some on-line games rife with violence and smut are so poisonous but attractive that vulnerable kids tent to submit to them and accordingly abandon precious study. Moreover, heavily dependent on technological conveniences, we grow more indolent, which will lead to lack of creative power.

All in all, modernized entertainment is more beneficial to our life, so it will not decrease human creative power.Meanwhile, with the concerted efforts both from government and individuals, its potential dangers can be avoided.

Does technology make children le creative than in the past?

Are our kids becoming lazier and le creative, le imaginable than before as a consequence of highly advanced technology? My answer is no, and just the opposite, technology has apparently aisted our kids to become more creative.

First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy acce to scientific and liberal art resources which is their best source of inspiration. For example, children could now easily gain acce to academic databases through iPad screen, read claical works on Kindle, or watch historic documents on Internet. These great works are eentially helpful to arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge neceary for any creation. However, these wonderful equipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reach limited resources in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provided the poibility for children to be more creative.【新托福独立写作范文】

Second, technology has equipped children with profeional apparatus which could finally realize their imagination. This takes form particularly as computer softwares and applications, such as Photoshop for creative graphic design, Overture for easily composing a piece of music, 3DMax for building up a virtual world, etc..All the software were never as handy as they are at present, and this would absolutely provides our children an effective tool for realizing their creativity.

Third, technology itself is a market place where creative ideas are economically encouraged.Steve Jobs earned millions of dollars a year for his unparallel creation, and Mark Zuckberg gained his reputation for the genius social network. Therefore, technology has provided children the internal motive to develop their creativity.

However, it is undeniable that technology might make children become lazier and be comfortable with what is already available because everything are so convenient nowadays and there seems to be no way to improve them.Children lost in pc games or blindly pursuing every single piece of tech apparatus is a relevant example. Thus, it is always neceary to keep children’s mind active in the marvelous world of technology.【新托福独立写作范文】

In a nutshell, I still regard children as becoming increasingly creative in technology development, although it might bring minor side effect. As along as we keep a balanced mood on children enjoying the fruit of technology, they are sure to contribute more to innovation than in the past.

It is often said that the subjects taught in schools are too academic in orientation and that would be mire useful for children to learn about practical matters such as home management, work and interpersonal skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model answer:

There has always been more to learn than schools have time to teach, so inevitably some things and subjects that are considered to be le important must be left out.Has the education system become too focused on academic subjects, leaving our children without key practical skills? Many people argue that schools should focus on teaching academic subjects whilst more practical, non-academic ones should be learn outside school, especially in the home from parents do not have sufficient practical skills themselves. Therefore, they can’t automatically be expected to pa these skills on to their children. The second thing is that there is not necearily a clear division between academic subjects and practical skill that is useful both in the academic world and in the workplace. The ability to manage household finances is a practical skill that uses an academic subject (mathematics).

Both practical skills and academic skills can be learnt outside school. However, academic subjects are le likely to be learnt outside the formal education system simply because most children do not want to spend their evenings and weekends on learning more than their teachers have

told then about such topics. It should be noted that free time activities such as playing sports, listening to music and watching TV can help children learn about practical matters.Team sports encourage children to cooperate.Listening to music can inspire children to learn to play musical instruments. Many TV programs teach people about real life and help them to develop practical skills, such as cooking and how to deal with money.

In conclusion, I believe that schools should focus more on academic subjects, but that the relevance of these to everyday life can be emphasized by teachers. It would help if we were more careful about making such a big distinction between academic subjects and practical abilities.

Topic: Should college students be allowed to get married?

There is no denying the fact that it is a hotly debated topic today whether college students should be allowed to get married. Some time ago, the ban was lifted by some universities on students getting married. To this people’s attitudes differ sharply. Some hold the positive view. They say that most college students are adults and that it is a basic right for those who have reached the appropriate ages to get married.Besides, they argue that with their biological and emotional needs met, these students will study better. The ban on this means a severe violation of human rights.

Many others, however, hold the negative opposite view. They claim that the university or college is a place to study instead of a community to lead family life.Allowing college students to get married would adversely affect their study. For instance, they would spend too much time attending their family and love, unable to concentrate on their school work.As far as I am concerned, weighing the arguments of both sides, I believe that college students should not be allowed to get married.Though mostly adults, they are actually immature psychologically.Their wishes to get married are, more often than not, impulses.Besides, as students, they are not ready to support a family financially.

Topic: Memorization of information by frequency repetition(rote learning) plays a role in education system to what extend do you agree or disagree.

Learning is a complex proce that involves different strategies and stages. As a key approach of learning, memorization of information by repetition contributes to the overall effectivene of an education system. But we should also admit that rote learning has a number of limitations.

Learning by repetition is an effective strategy in learning. For example, Chinese people believe that one will get the gist of a book after reading it for a hundred times.Researchers have found that rote learning is particularly useful for young learners. When teaching children how to use a computer, instructors show them over and over again until they can perform tasks correctly. Moreover, for certain kinds of learning at early stage, the understanding involved is often minimal.Naturally rote learning aumes an important role.

However, we need to bear in mind that meaningful learning is more eential for our education system. When students grow older and enter higher grades, the scope and depth of their learning grow.Surely rote learning can help students learn knowledge by heart but it could do little to improve their analyzing ability and creativity. There has been strong criticism that some schools overemphasize the importance of memorization of knowledge and produce students with great weaknees in applying knowledge in practice.Solution for such problem could be that schools and students put in more effort into meaningful learning.

To conclude, learning is a complex progre and students employ different strategies at various stages.Rote learning is important in education system, but meaningful learning is more critical for students in obtaining advanced ability and skills.

Topic: People can go to shop, bank and work with computer. But the danger of the computer is people are getting isolated and losing some social skills. To what extent do you agree with this opinion?

The progreion of computer is inevitable and undeniable.Nowadays computers also have become a part of our daily life.Instead of leaving home to go to shop bank and work people can do these at home by clicking the buttons. However, some people hold the opinion that it will cause people isolated from each other and lose social skills.

Personally I find it hard for me to agree with this opinion by following reasons.

In the first instance, computers are tool to communication with people instead of isolation from the world. When we say a person is isolated it means that he is lonely and cut off the world. However, people seldom have this feeling while they are surfing the Internet. On the contrary, people tend to make more friends through the net

Secondly, people also can acquire social skills on Internet.Communication on Internet has the same purpose as face-to-face communication has.For example, through Internet we can send greeting cards to our friends.Furthermore, sometimes it might be a better way of communication on some occasions such as when you find it embarraing to say sorry face to face we can send a meage of apology to your friend.

Last but not least, doing something through Internet actually spares more time for our social life.Sometime we need to spend a lot of time shopping in department stores. Now we can save the time and may visit our friends.

In general, computer just make our life more colorful so we don\'t need to worry about the changes its may bring to us.Especially most of these changes are positive.

At the beginning, countries advance their economic with non-renewable resources. It is fleetly and effectively to earn the economic benefits but wreak havoc on nature resources. After a period of time this money-worshipping method put a stain on the resources. It is obviously that people give priority to the rise the standard of living before the eential environment. Some people claim that every thing opens up a poibility of two sides even the actual findings and potential benefits are extremely limited to ordinary people on the short term in particular.

damage to environment is definitely not the inevitable consequence of advanced living standard. However,to achieve that goal of solving environment problem we must pay more strive on it.Whether the damage of environment is the inevitable consequence of the improvement of living standard has been widely argued for the obvious fact that the natural environment are getting worse and worse in the last several years. The problem of environment is even more serious in many rapidly developing countries. In my opinion, the damage of environment in these days is mainly caused by the development of the human society, but it is not inevitable.

In the beginning, environment damage is a consequence of the human development because factories make waste as well as products. The wastes released into the environment because pollution and many of those can hardly been removed. In some places, people advance their

economic by selling the non-renewable resource, such as oil, coal and metal. It is a faster and easy way to earn the economic benefit but the unlimited, unregulated mining often results in serious

Topic: only when people make a large sum of money can they be said succeful.Do you agree or disagree?

It is vital to define succe although currently criteria are colorful.A sound definition of the term helps people to live and learn better. Moreover, it plays an important role in the construction of good social mores.

It is wrong to say that people are not succeful if they have failed to make a huge sum of money. The reason is that whether one is succeful is not only measured with material yardstick but also against the spiritual criterion.Spiritual achievements and contributions bear little relationship with money.Put it in other word, many of those who have not earned sufficient money are considered succeful for their accomplishments. For instance, my mother has never been able to make enough money but she is succeful in that she has told us why we live.

To emphasize the spiritual elements in the understanding of what succe is is not to deny the importance of the ability to make money. On the contrary, the capability to make a maive sum of money in many cases is a kind of succe. In terms of the individual development, any human being in a modern society where money is the main economic dimension must be able to live independently by means of earning and spending. In terms of the society development, a country must be rich enough to protect basic human rights, provide foods, and offer education to its members.Otherwise it is not succeful.

In conclusion, money is not the only standard of succe, but it is neceary to be able to make money.

Children find it difficult to concentrate on or pay attention to their study in school. What are the reasons? How can we solve this problem?

It is not uncommon to hear the complaint that children nowadays are easily distracted from what they are supposed to do in cla.The factors responsible for this problem and feasible solutions accordingly will be analyzed in this report.

Among all the poible reasons, the exceive application of electronic products in school should bear the blame.Children born and raised in this digital age have been accustomed to keeping in touch with the outside world through their smart phones or iPad.As a result, various social media and mobile game APPs bring the world closer to them but dampen their enthusiasm on absorbing knowledge and skills.

To expand their attention span in cla and solve this problem, there are some measures that need to be taken into consideration. It is advisable for teachers, who usually function as the monitors and managers of the cla,to set rules about phone using. For example, anyone caught using electronic products for non-academic purposes more than three times will be given an “F”in the final exam. This can bring an immediate and tangible outcome within a short time.

In addition, distracting students from screens back to the whiteboard is also a way worth trying. Some activities designed for raising energy level of students so as to get them better involved in cla can be applied wisely, like role-play,mingling,seminar etc. These kind of activities convert the traditionally teacher-centered teaching pattern into the student-centered one and consequently compete with phones for student’s interest and attention.

In conclusion, the abuse of electronic products in the claroom is the root cause of students\' attention iues and the responsibility of sparing students from this problem falls on teachers.

Topic: It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician.Discu both these views and give your own opinion.Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

The relative importance of natural talent and training is a frequent topic of discuion when people try to explain different levels of ability in, for example, sport, art or music.

Obviously, education systems are based on the belief that all children can effectively be taught to acquire different skills, including those aociated with sport, art or music. So from our own school experience, we can find plenty of evidence to support the view that a child can acquire these skills with continued teaching and guided practice.

However, some people believe that innate talent is what differentiates a person who has been trained to play a sport or an instrument, from those who become good players. In other words, there is more to the skill than a learned technique, and this extra talent cannot be taught, no matter how good the teacher or how frequently a child practices.

I personally think that some people do have talents that are probably inherited via their genes.Such talents can give individuals a facility for certain skills that allow them to excel, while more hard-working students never manage to reach a comparable level. But, as with all questions of nature versus nurture, they are not mutually exclusive.Good musicians or artists and exceptional sports stars have probably succeeded because of both good training and natural talent.Without the natural talent, continuous training would be neither attractive nor productive, and without the training, the child would not learn how to exploit and develop their talent.

In conclusion, I agree that any child can be taught particular skills, but to be really good in areas such as music, art or sport, then some natural talent is required.

i.Not only should the parent spent more time with their children, they should also try to communicate with their children more often.ii.Only in this way can this iue be effectively solved.iii.Nor a bad environment will make people healthier.iv.Only in very few regions do the residents have enough water for their daily needs.

Bad books contain evil much description

thoughts.In them, there might be

, and sex. about violence, superstition

→ Bad books, in which there might be much description about violence, superstition, and sex, contain evil thoughts.

1.原因状语从句:常由because, as, since和for引导 Eg: Nonethele demerits.

2.让步状语从句:常由although, though, even though/ if, as long as和notwithstanding引导

Eg: Although this view is wildly held, this is little evidence be obtained at any age and at any place. 3.条件状语从句:常由if, on the condition that和providing that引导 Eg: If you want to achieve

something or intend to fulfill one of your ambitions, you must work hard, make efforts and get prepared.

Eg: When it comes to education, the majority of people believe that education is a lifetime study. 5.目的状语从句: 常由so that和in order that引导

Eg: Millions of people have to spend more time and energy on studying new skills andtechnology

so that they can keep a favorable position in job market.

that education can , I am still in favor of space travel, for its merits far outweigh Eg: Some people claim

that government should be mainly responsible for the environmental pollution.

Eg: Many experts point out that, along with the development of modern society, it is aninevitable result and there is no way to avoid it. Eg: It is an undeniable increasingly serious.

Eg: No one can deny the basic fact that it is impoible for average workers to master those high-technology skills easily.

Eg: What has caught our attention

is /It is noticeable that the environment in

.

fact that environmental pollution becomes both the rural and urban areas is deteriorating

Eg: It is universally acknowledged that environmental pollution becomes one of the most serious problems in China or even the world as a whole. 第六,强调句: It is + 被强调的内容 + that Eg: It is cars and factories that release environment.

Eg: Only if the government will take some appropriate this intractable problem be tackled.

Eg: Every means should be tried to protect the environment on which people live.

measures, will

a great deal of gases, polluting the

Eg: Tourism, which is a rising industry, has become the major source of economy, playing crucial role in many Asian countries.

Eg: To be more specific

, government should stage some relevant

.

laws or regulations to severely punish the factory producing a great number of pollutants and the people littering or spitting deliberately

Eg: Computer, an indispensable conveniences.

Eg: College students, lacking social experience, are easily cheated.

part in our life, has brought us great

此类考生要分领域积累雅思写作词汇,如在写肥胖问题时,考生需要积累(obese, overweight, coronary heart disease, stroke, heredity, inheritance, junk food, carnivorous, exceive drinking and smoking, couch potato, diabetes, a balanced diet, vegetarian等。)

的逻辑框架之外,段落内部每一句也需要有这样的逻辑框架来约束,如让步段中:“some people may argue that „ (起);because they maintain that „。(承) ;However ,they are oversimplifying the situation, in fact „.。(转); Therefore , I believe „。

最常见使用错误诸如on the other hand。

As since due to owning to

果:hence thus therefore as a consequence as a result

Take for example, For instance, To illustrate, As an apt illustration ,

While ,whilst, whereas, by contrast。

让步关系:despite ,in spite of , not with standing , nonethele, even though,

Provided that , if

All parents expect their children to have a promising further。

如有同学在解释寄生虫(parasite)在他笔下成了” something that is very tiny and lives on my skin and sucks my blood without doing any work”!

如在discu the advantages and disadvantages of the internet时,有考生作文中曾出现了不下10次的advantages and disadvantages 。

Parents and teachers often link children’s score to their academic ability这个简单句为例,通过强调句型的包装我们得到:

It is children’s score that parents and teachers often link to their academic ability rather than other qualifications。

So important is children’s score that parents and teachers often link them to children’s academic ability 。

Scores , as is known to everyone ,are often linked to children’s academic ability by teachers and parents。

Based on the conception that scores tells everything, parents and teachers often link children’s score to their academic ability 。

„„„

Question: Some employers give increased importance to social skills in addition to good qualifications.Do you agree or disagree that social skills are as important as good qualifications for succe in jobs?

1st argument:

As new industries are springing up and existing ones are increasingly diversified, many jobs no longer demand employees to be equipped with adequate profeional knowledge; instead, sound communicational skills and interpersonal skills are called for to accomplish certain tasks: an outstanding sales clerk is spared from the need to comprehend the technical qualities that are encapsulated in their products or the manufacturing proce in detail; in fact, to strike a deal, it only requires the salespersons to convince the potential customers of the competitive advantages and remarkable features that distinguish their products from that of rival competitors; a competent manager does not necearily have to know the convoluted management theories or principles, for the job of management in practice is eentially different from the theoretical knowledge learnt in textbooks.Managers are supposed to communicate how to carry out a particular task with the subordinates/superior and provide viable solutions if they ever encounter/be met/confronted with difficulties or setbacks.

2nd argument:

Many job tasks are of gargantuan proportion and infinite complexity that they are beyond the

power of any single individual attempting to work alone. Therefore, teamwork is needed to make the realization of challenging projects poible: each team member is expected to avail of one’s strengths to work on a particular part of the project. In this way, the efficiency can be maximized.

A software engineer alone, for instance, cannot poibly launch rockets/a policy/a plan/a piece of software from scratch. The team has to consist of people who are capable of carrying out market research to gain an idea of consumer requirements and demands, who are able to design the products in a way that can entice/attract maive numbers of end-users, and who can market the products to the general gamers.

3rd argument:

Granted, social skills do play an important role in certain non-profeional fields of discipline.Nonethele, a significant proportion of job positions still demand an adequate mastery of profeional knowledge to accomplish the required job descriptions.Brain surgeons are needed to have sufficient knowledge of the related brain mechanisms involved in the functioning of the brain; lawyer are required to be familiar with a comprehensive range of state laws and regulations; architects have to understand perfectly the physics of force in construction of buildings.Poeion of social skills may facilitate the cooperation of many different technicians working on the project, but a succeful team project is more heavily reliant on the efforts invested by each individual technician.

Expreions:

1.spring up 出现

2.be equipped with 具备…能力

3.strike a deal 成交

4.potential customers

5.competitive advantages

6.distinguish 分辨

7.competent 合格的

8.convoluted

9.viable

Many old building are protected by law because they are part of a nation\'s history. However, some people think knocked down to make way for new ones because people need houses and offices. How important is it to maintain old buildings? Should history stand in the way of progre?Old buildings sometimes conflicts with social advancement.Appealing as it is in the eyes of busine people, tearing down old architect to make room for real-estate development is not a wise idea in many ways. The primarily reason is that old buildings, like our native language, forms our cultural identity and keep a unique record the history of a country. From this aspect, old buildings are considered very valuable as one of the symbols of the culture of a nation. For instance, the traditional Chinese residence in Beijing, Siheyuan, are once seen as the remains of the Old World, and were destroyed by people shortly after the founding of People\'s Republic of China.Until recently did the people and policy makers as well realize that it is an inexcusable and stupid idea to commit such a terrible deed because old buildings, once gone, are not restorable. But their economic values and aesthetic appeals have just caught the attention of Chinese people.

Moreover, old buildings, if planed and preserved properly, could coexist with modern real-estate development. In France, aged buildings bring millions of dollars of revenue for the government and amazed thousands of tourists.Yet no one thinks the high-rising office buildings and apartment buildings make the old architect a sore of the eye.By contrast, the new learn from the old, a fact that makes them more attractive.

We admit that not all old buildings should be treated equally and some of them do need to be torn down for various reasons such as safety and new buildings. However, we should not be too blind to see their value too.If only the real and practical factors are being considered, the country will be sorry for its lo in years to come.

As we have discued, old buildings are part of a country\'s history and are valuable in many ways.We should plan well and be wise enough to see their value. But the same time, we should also do our best to find solutions to make the old and the new coexist in harmony.

你知道see是看见,是否知道see off是告别?

Tom is taller than Mary。 Tom is as tall as Mary。

文中说&& is a poor predictor,%% is little better than &&.题目说%% is a good predictor.(&&和%%表示两个难词)。

Topic: Should grad student be paid higher than non-grads?

In China, it is obvious now that the university graduates earn more money than non-graduates (a funny contrast in which it was opposite scenario when in 1970s China).I quite agree with those graduates who have paid a lot for their studies and expect to make more for either himself or his family. However, it is not so optimistically for those who hope to make it.The critical career competition makes them frustrated due to many factors involved.

One of the utmost factors is they feel what they anticipate is not matching up with what they have found in reality. Many university graduates are not satisfied with what they get for what they have done.As a matter of fact, some of them expect so unrealistic that they immediately lose the credit to the workforce they belong to.On the contrary, some of the non-graduate students who are more realistic in career hunting tend to get more satisfied job compared with graduates. Thus what really matters here in salary balance is how one can contribute to the organization rather than what background they hold.

The tuition is really high in China. Many high quality students due to this have lost their academic pursuit. This is really shameful for a family or any government who initially should take the burden for whatever reason is supposed to be.Any responsible government should inevitably take this burden and put more money in order to bring up better next generation for the nation.

Children can learn effectively from watching television. Therefore children should be encouraged to watch television regularly both at home and at school.Do you agree or disagree?

UK children watch an average of more than two and a half hours of television a day.It fuels a debate whether children should be encouraged to watch television regularly both at home and at school.I disagree with the recommendation that watching television should be a regular activity at school and at home, as this would produce more negative outcomes than positive ones.

It is true that TV is of immense value to serve as a kind of educational tool.Compared with books, TV provides both visual and audio input at the same time and therefore can effectively enhance learning.A good illustration is that some scientific programs like Discovery or Geography are good source of inspiration and may open the door of wisdom and arouse learning interest in the young minds.Neverthele, we cannot justify that children should be encouraged to watch television regularly because we cannot dismi the defects brought to children by watching too much television.

The biggest concern is that too much television leons TV viewers’ creativity and imagination.Being bombarded with TV images, their own ability to form imaginative pictures becomes severely impaired since they absorb information paively. As a result, it served nothing but stifled their creativity, imagination and critical thinking.

In addition, increased screen time is detrimental both physically and psychologically. It is a common belief that too much television could contribute to sedentary way of living, known as a couch potato, which is a contributing factor to the current epidemic of childhood obesity. And there are other psychosocial problems aociated with exce screen time, which develops when young people spend too much time on social media sites and then begin to exhibit claic symptoms of depreion.Last but not the least, increased exposure to television could poison children’s innocent mind, arouse one’s violent impulse and mislead one’s life outlook.

In conclusion, I think the main point here is not to ban or discourage children from watching TV completely, but to make sure that they do not watch too much TV or watch TV indiscriminately. Therefore it is strongly suggested that children spend a limited time in front of TV.Besides, parents and teachers should give guidance to children as for the contents they are watching.

Topic: Some people believe that schools should only teach children subjects which are beneficial to their future career and therefore others subjects such as music and sports are not important. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

I tend to think it ridiculous that the schools simply educate the children subjects beneficial to their future career. This is partly because few people would be one hundred percent sure what careers the children with different life goals or backgrounds would develop or whether they would change their minds. So I doubt whether the good attempt of schools would end up taking effect.

However, the main concern is that only teaching some of the subjects would be unfair to most children who not only have a burning desire for academic knowledge but also are more interested in art or outdoor activities.Instead, modern school children should be given a wide range of subjects whether the schools think them useful for children’s future career, which can be compared to the fact that diverse foods are positive to people’s physical health.

This means that some subjects like music and sports are quite neceary in today’s schools that are expected to help with developing children in many ways.Children would go out of claroom to playground and breathe fresh air that is good for their brain by taking physical education; they could be enlightened by studying systematically music knowledge or the way to appreciate works.Furthermore, some musical or sports talents would start to come out in that important period.

In conclusion, my view is that children should try their best to study any subjects beneficial to their future, and that the duty of the school should be to provide good quality ones and, if poible, to set a scientific timetable including an appropriate proportion of different claes.
