◎discover用作及物动词，意思为“发现(原先就存在而不为人知的地方和事实)”，后面可接名词、代词或从句。

◎find意为“找到”，侧重于找到过去丢失的人或物，但有时也表示凭经或偶然发现了一种东西。
She found him a very good pupil.她发现他是个非常好的学生。
◎句型：It takes sb.some time to do sth ...做某事花费某人多长时间同义句：They spent several months (in) getting there.5.That’s why it’s on the news.
本句是一个表语从句，why it’s on the news 是复合句的从句部分，应该用陈述句的语序。
