Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen,
Good evening.It’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech.What I am going to talk about today is the road to succe.
There is no doubt that everyone wants to achieve succe.Me either.But what is succe and how can we succeed? In my opinion, succe is just like climbing mountains.If you want to reach the top of the mountain, you have to keep climbing up step by step and overcome all the difficulties during the way.There is no easy way to climb up without paying.Likewise, there is no elevator to succe, you have to take stairs.
I’m sure you guys have all tried doing a lot of new things.Whether it’s learning a new instrument , or learning a new language.You know , everyone who tells you that the stuff is easy that you can do it overnight is clearly wrong.Everything that is worth doing is pretty hard.I mean, you guys know that firsthand from your experience.In order to master piano, you have to practice scales everyday to strengthen your fingers no matter how boring it is; to learn a foreign language well, you have to start with the very basics and learn step by step.All these achievements, you know, it’s not about a single moment of inspiration or brilliance, it’s about years and years of hard work and practice.When it comes to succe, there are no shortcuts.
To clarify my view, I would like to give an example.Michael Jordan, the basketball superstar, it\'s easy for you to see his achievements.However, what you don’t see is the price of blood and sweat that he has paid on the court in order to come out on top.If you think that he was born to play basketball and is destined to succeed, I’d like to say that you couldn’t be more wrong.Do you know the story that Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team because of his height? Instead of giving up,he trained harder and made more effort to shoot on court.Finally, he succeeded and became a popular basketball player.To Jordan,it’s not about a single moment of inspiration or brilliance, it’s about years and years of hard work and practice.
At last I would like to share a famous saying with all of you, that is: no pains, no gains.I just want you to know that succe doesn’t come easily ,anything that’s really awesome takes a lot of work.But I firmly believe that as long as we make daily effort and unremitting endeavor, everyone in this room will achieve your goals and fulfill your dream.
