Advertisements can be seen everywhere in modern society.在现代社会中，广告随处可见，
no matter where you get around in a city or even in the countryside, it is pretty easy for you to find one or two signs introducing a product.无论身在何处你在城市周围，甚至在农村，这是你很容易找到一个或两个标志的产品介绍。
They appear on the TV screen.They occupy a conspicuous place in newspapers and magazines.They are displayed or painted on walls and even on buses.Indeed, it is difficult nowadays to find a public place without advertisements.

Firstly, For the manufacturer, they can take advantage of the ads to project the characters of their products so as to seize the vision of the consumers and gain them huge profits.

Secondly, consumers can expect to have a best price by comparing and contrasting the prices and specifications of the commodity advertised by different suppliers.

However, we cannot belittle the disadvantages of the ads.然而，我们也不能小视广告的缺点。

Unfortunately some of the advertisements are not true.They cheat consumers one way or another.

Nowadays there are a lot of false advertisements in society.They have caused many harms to society.Generally, their harms can be listed as follows.

First, they exaggerate the functions of the goods they advertise and mislead consumers.
