1.广告的构成(Formation of Advertisement):广告是由视觉(visual)和听觉(audio)两部分构成.

10.广告英语的句法特点 1.简单句

(1)句子大众化,简洁明了,吸引兴趣

(2)多采用简单句,少用复合句,再配合图片

(3)形式简洁、内容浓缩的短句常常具有警句、格言的意味

2.疑问句和祁使句

(1)引起消费者的共鸣与思考,唤起兴趣,促使行动 (2)使用一般疑问句,一问一答

(3)特殊疑问句比一般疑问句要求达到更为确切的回答,表达惊讶、建议、请求等,促使消费者思考问题 (4)省略疑问句,刺激消费者去寻求答案,常用How\\why

(5)要以请求、规劝、建议,甚至号召或命令来敦促消费者接受某种观点,购买产品,常用动词get/let/have/try/choose/buy/put/subscribe/see/look/remember/make sure

(6)祈使句的否定是用于警告或告诫消费者 3.分离句

为了突出广告的宣传效果,撰稿者利用句号、破折号、分号和连字符等,将句子分割成更多的信息单位,增大信息量,而被分割出来的部分往往是广告中要宣传的产品质量、用途和特征 4.省略句

省略句中的主语、谓语或其他任何成分,甚至一

11.广告英语的修辞手段(RhetoricalDevices in Advertising English)

比喻(Figure of Speech): 明喻(simile)暗喻(metaphor)转喻、换喻(metonymy)提喻、举喻(synecdoche) 拟人(Personification)

双关(Pun)指饶有风趣地使用显然具有两种意义的词组或句子,或巧妙地利用同音异义词。含蓄、耐人寻味,引起丰富联想。 反复(Repetition)

或称重复,通过关键词和相同语法结构的重复,突出主要信息,并着重强调。
