第一幕
旁白：南京布政老爷的公子李甲与赎身从良的北京名妓杜十娘结为百年之好，杜十娘沉浸于无比幸福和激动之中，结束了自己在烟花院中悲痛的卖笑生涯，不再被刻毒的鸨儿当做摇钱树，不再过受尽凌辱的卑贱生活。一些王孙公子、朱门豪富，情迷意荡，虽破家荡产而不惜，却无一人能买到杜十娘半点真情。当十娘与李甲相识后，情投意合，约定相知相守直到白头。此时的二人正如新婚燕尔一般，形影不离。而李甲则正打算将十娘带回家去拜见双亲，两人约好傍晚在渡头相见 …
