A Bug’s Life
A Bug\'s Life is a film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution in the United States on November 25, 1998.The film was directed by John Laeter.
The story happened at a beautiful ant colony island.All members of the ant colony spent all summer harvesting grain for the grahoppers.The Prince Atta who was the older prince ant of the royal family and heired to the throne, was quite worried about that they would not finish the task before the grahoppers’ arrival.And there was an annoying ant——Flik, who often had strange ideas and invented magical things which were not identitied by others.What’s worse, he always made the ant colony a complete me.So the Prince Atta as well as other ants was not nice to Flik.
One day, Flik dropped all the food which was sacrificed to the huge grahoppers.Hence when the Hopper, the leader of grahoppers, found ants did not prepare the food, he asked for doubled food.The whole colony got into trouble.Thus, Flik wanted to make a difference and asked for seeking warrior bugs himself to fight against these grahoppers.However, most members of the ant colony did not believe him except Prince Dot, they even hoped that Flik would never come back.When I saw this, I was totally shocked about their shamele thoughts.Flik was such an imaginative ant, but others laughed at him and looked down upon him.On the contrary, I really appreciated that he could invent these efficient machines which made his work easier and more convenient.His ideas were so creative that other ants should learn from him.Although we are ordinary people, we should jump out of these conventional ways of thinking, and we need to use our imagination and creativity to open our minds and prompt ourselves then the country will improve, so will the world.
Then Flik started his journey.He went to the insect city where he met a bunch of bugs and mistook them for the warriors he needs.Flik returned to the ant colony with these bugs and all the ants changed their attitude so quickly, they
held a feast for them.What’s more, Prince Atta changed her view of Flik and pointed him the queen’s official aide after Flik rescued Prince Dot.I felt completely annoyed.Why did they behave such ridiculously.We should not judge a man before we know him indeed.A man’s pure mind is more important than his appearance.And we would not change our minds so frequently when deal with one thing.
Unfortunately, P.T.Flea, the manager of circus, came to the ant colony to look for his miing performers, so all the ants knew the truth and reproached Flik for his cheat.What’s worse, Prince Atta ordered Flik to leave and never come back.Their attitude was beyond my comprehension.It seemed that they never had their own thoughts and went with the flow all the time.They even abandoned the belief that we should be deeply grateful to these people who helped us once.
The second day, the grahoppers arrived and found the food was not enough, so Hopper forced all the ants to get every scrap of food on the island.In order to rescue ants, Prince Dot caught up with Flik.After Flik and bugs reached the island, they took action according the original plan.Flik operated the bird and the bugs entertained these grahoppers.At first, the bird scared off these grahoppers.Unluckily, it caught fire and Hopper knew the truth.Flik was beated by Hopper, but he bravely told Hopper that ants were not meant to serve grahoppers and they were much stronger than Hopper said.Then all the ants united and dispelled these grahoppers.I like this scene most.Flik was fairly brave.He held his belief that he could defeat the Hopper and finally he did.He also set aside other ants’ bad treatment and helped them as usual.He was such a good man who remained faithful to friends and did his endeavors to aist them.I learned no matter who you will be in the future, keeping kind-hearted is quite significant and try to do others a favour when they need help.I was also touched by his words said to Hopper.No noe could scorn others.One ant is very powerle, but tens of thousands ants would be powerful if they unite.
