一、教学目标：
（一）、知识目标：
1、能够听、说、读、写12个月份，及其缩写形式。
2、能用“When is your birthday?”询问对方的生日，并能用“My birthday is in „.”来表达自己生日的月份。
（二）、能力目标：
1、能在活动中互助合作、体验合作愉快的精神，发展合作精神。
2、能运用所学的语言知识在创设的情境中进行熟练的交际，并在此基础上能将其应用于日常生活之中。
3、通过调查活动、信息收集整理等活动培养学生的交际能力和归纳、总结信息的能力。
（三）、情感目标：
1、激发学生学习英语的兴趣，帮助学生树立学好英语的信心，增强学生的参与意识；
2、引导学生积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务，并在成功中体会英语学习中的乐趣。
3、在活动体验中教育学生关心他人，关心长辈，在竞赛中培养学生的竞争意识。。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：掌握四会单词和句型。
难点：灵活运用句型“When is„?”“It’s in„”谈论日期。
三、教学准备
CAI课件、自制的挂历12张、调查表格、月份转盘（month turn).生日帽（birthday hat)、单词卡片、生日卡片、教学挂图、教学磁带等。
四、教学评价：全班学生分成四个大组。评价主要依据各组学生的学习纪律、学生回答问题的情况、学生的学习能力（包括学习策略、听力、口语、书写和表演能力）和学生的英语交际能力四个方面进行操作。
五、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming up
1.sing a song “days of the week”热身活动是教师与学生课前沟通的过程。只有沟通了感情，才能做到师生合作，共同完成学习目标 2.Free talks How many days are there in a week?
How many months are there in a year? What are they? Learn to say: a month (show Ss the word card) Step 2 Presentation
1.Learn to say the words: January, February, March, April, May, June,July,August.,September,October,November,December
The first month is January.The second month is February.The third month is March.------（利用电脑课件教学生认读单词，同时出示单词的缩写形式。）
.2、活动1——Which month is this?老师示范一遍，就指名其他学生充当小老师。学生是教学活动的主体，是学习的主人，让学生充当小老师，可以培养学生的独立自主性，充分发挥学生的主观能动性，使课堂教学自主化。）给小老师奖励小星星贴纸。（利用手中的单词卡片，学生复习巩固单词）
3.活动 2——Read and arrange认读月份，并将月份排序活动。（教师出示自制的挂历图片，指名排序）
4.活动 3—— Patting flies(拍苍蝇)

将十二个月份的图片粘贴在黑板上。教师出示单词的缩写形式，全班学生大声喊出单词，指名的学生马上拍到正确的图片上。全员参与,激动人心,跃跃欲试,全体学生都能积极投入到课堂教学中来，调动了所有学生听课的积极性。
5．活动4——Can you spell them?拼写单词的游戏（教师指定学生拼读单词，先是一个一个大组，再从大组中抽取一个小组，最后是一排一排地逐个逐个地拼读。）（ 6．学习句型“When is „”“It’s in„”（教师板书课题，然后告诉学生自己的生日在五月，接着问学生When is your birthday？） T: When is your birthday?

询问几名学生的生日，让他们在挂历上指出来，并帮助他们用“It’s in„”回答.板书并教学新句型，强调介词in的用法。（板书课题） Step 3 Practice。
8．活动5——击鼓传花（学生听音乐传花束，音乐声停止，花束在谁的手中回答老师的问题When is your birthday？My birthday is in ----回答出来的做老师，上台提问，否则被淘汰出局，看哪组被淘汰的人数少，则获胜。） 9.活动6——Gueing game.（电脑调出学生喜爱的老师的照片，学生运用句型When is your birthday？ When is his birthday？ When is her birthday？猜测老师的生日。 10．出示课文A部分教学挂图，听读课文，理解课文大意，回答问题。 When is Peter’s birthday? 把学生分成4个大组,每组派出2名学生当临时户籍警，调查另一组同学的生日。（限时比赛，看谁在规定时间内完成的任务最多。）规则：你在调查同学生日的时候，必须用英语询问，否则被调查的同学可以拒绝回答，回答的同学则不得故意拖延时间，否则本组淘汰出局。（准备四支不同颜色的彩笔。）
10．Answer the questions: When is ---‘s birthday? When is your birthday? When is his/her birthday?(学生根据表格提问和回答。) 第一大组学生向第二组的同学提问，2次机会，提问一个句子得1分，答对一个问题得1分。反之，第二大组的同学向第一组的同学提问。
11。总结评价。对学生的表现进行评价，给予肯定和鼓励，激发学生说的欲望。评价以鼓励为主，针对学生形象思维胜于抽象思维，渴望得到他人赞赏和表扬的心理特点，在表述评价结果时，分别赐予各组最佳设计、最佳合作小组、学习能手、纪律先锋的光荣称号，并给所有发言的学生奖发一个五角星，从而真正对学生的学习起到激励和促进的作用。评价主要依据各组学生的学习纪律、学生回答问题的情况、学生的学习能力（包括学习策略、听力、口语、书写和表演能力）和学生的英语交际能力四个方面进行操作。
