【教材分析】

本课是写作课,第一单元的写作主题是what makes a good eay.旨在让学生知道一篇好作文的三个要素:统

一、连贯、结构合理,并能根据题目,写出一篇符合这三个要素要求的作文。

【学情分析】

高三年级学生虽然平时经常练习作文,但是对写作的三个要素没有系统的认识。

【教学目标】

By the end of the activities, the students are expected

 to learn the three elements of a good composition: unity, coherence, well-organized. to explore the title and find the key words in the directions  to make an outline of their composition 【活动设计】

Activity 1: 1.Lead-in Q: What makes a good composition? 2.Read the paage on page 13 and answer the questions.Q: How many main ideas does the writer introduce and develop?/What’s the main idea of each paragraph? What’s the topic sentence of the whole paage? (Unity)

Is it easy for you to follow the writer’s ideas? What makes it easy or difficult?(Coherence)

Is the eay well organized?

make an outline of the composition opening paragraph: main idea analyzing paragraph: conveniences and problems concluding paragraph: draw a conclusion 【作业布置】
