A.掌握词汇及短语:rocket, glue, launch, field, land, join, club,member, adult, compete,prize , do with ,either …..or ….,give prizes for…..
B .熟读课文,理解文章大意,能回答与文章相关的问题。
二.能力目标是(Skill aims):
能运用恰当的词语向别人介绍自己的爱好。
三.情感态度目标:
培养学生有益的爱好,敢于用英语表达自己的看法。通过小组合作学习培养学生的互助精神。

1.New words.
2.Phrases: do with, either ….or… , give prizes for…
3.Understand the text.

Either … or…的用法,及对学生说的能力的培养。

教学过程:(Teaching procedure)
Step1.Greeting students.
Ste 2.Lead new concepts: Show pictures ( a plane ,a train ,a ship) and talk about
them.Show a picture of a rocket and lead new concepts.
Step3.Teach new words.Talk about pictures and new words.At the same time,
make some sentences with them and Show them on the big screen.
He is building a rocket. It is made of wood and cardboard.
He glues it together.
They join a rocket club.
There are many members in the club.
Most of them are adults.
They are competing .
They either lose or win.
The winner will get a prize.
Step 4 .Let students read the new words and phrases in pairs.Then let students
read and spell them correctly.
Step5.Show questions.Let students listen to the tape , read the textand think about questions themselves.
Questions:
1.How many rockets does Paul have?
2.When did he begin to launch rockets?
3.Where does he put his broken rockets?
Step6.Ask students to answer the questions .
Keys :1.Ten rockets.2.Two years ago.3.In his bedroom..
Step7.Show difficult knowledge points of some sentences.Find out phrases and
understand using ways of them.Then complete exercises.

Step 8.Read the text again and answer the questions.
