Unit3 Is this your ruler?

Section A 1a---2c 简阳市永宁乡九年义务教育学校 李文俊

一、教学目标:

1、语言知识:

(1)学习掌握词汇:pencil, pen, book, eraser, ruler, pencil box/case, dictionary, schoolbag/backpack key等。

(2)功能:辨认物品的所有者 ;询问物品的归属,以及英语中对应的表达法。(3)语言结构:指示代词: this ,that ,these,those Is this/that your pencil? Yes, it is ./ No, it isn\'t..Are these/those your pencils? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.

2、语言技能:

(1)听:能识别不同句式的语调,并能根据语调变化,判断句子意义的变化;能听懂本课学习活动中的问题,作出较得体的回答。

(2)说:能在本课的任务型活动如:等中进行简单有效的交流。 (3)读:能正确朗读较长对话并找出关键词会; (4)写:能书写对话所提及事物。

3、学习策略:

(1)熟悉通过图片和实物学习掌握词汇;通过划分音节拼读、记忆词汇。 (2)尝试在阅读中根据上下文进行预测。

(3)在教师引导下通过抓关键词完成听力和阅读任务。

4、情感态度:

通过参加本部分的任务型活动,激发学习英语的兴趣和热情。在辨认物品的所有者 ;询问物品的归属,以及英语中对应的表达法等接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,主动请教。

5、文化意识:

对本单元任务型活动中所用的语言材料如请求、感谢、赞扬等作出符合英语交际习惯的反应;了解英、美国家中小学生的学习、学校生活,培养世界意识。

二、单元教学重点、难点

1、复习词汇:pen book ruler 等

2、学习词汇:pencil case/box schoolbag/backpack eraser dictionary his hers mine

3、句型:

What\'s this in English? It\'s a pen.Is this/that your/her/his pencil? Yes, it is.No, it isn\'t.Are these/those your /his/her pencils? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.

三、学情分析

1、学生心理特点:对中学生活既好奇又担忧;希望在新班集体里得到他人的承认;主要通过他人评价初步形成对自己的评价,所以很在乎他人的评价;自我认识较模糊、片面,但自我意识却不断增强;开始步入青春期生理、心理剧变阶段。

2、学生学习英语的特点:初一学生对英语既感到新鲜又有所畏惧,他们希望在新的环境中通过学好英语这门新科目来获得他人的认可。但随着小学英语的实施,很多学生新鲜感减少,畏惧感增加,两极分化从一开学就凸现出来。

3、本单元的主题是识别物品的所属,学生已经学习和理解了Is this/that„? Are these/those„?的结构和功能,通过本节课活动的开展既能巩固所学知识,又能提高解决问题的能力以及综合运用语言能力。

四、教法选择与教材处理

为达成上述教学目标,根据Go for it!教材的特点,我们将运用任务型教学途径,而学生也相应地采取自主、合作、探究的学习方式。本单元利用教学图片、实物和多媒体课件来展开课堂Pair work, Group work的口语交际活动,识别物品的所属,引导学生在语境中体会和模仿指示代词、人称代词形容词、名词性物主代词以及一般疑问句的用法。

七、教学过程:

Period 1 Section A 1a—2d Step1.Warming up :

1、Greet the students using the sentences they have learnt.Such as: Good morning! How are you? Nice to meet you! What’s your name?

2、Ask one or more students to try to introduce his or her family.Step

2、Lead in:

1、Ask students some questions(Write them down on the blackboard) : What’s this/that in English? It’s a pen/ruler/book„.What color is it? It’s black/blue/green„.

2、Tell the students that we’ll learn more things in the claroom.Step

3、Presentation:

Teach the new words by asking them: what’s this in English? What’s that in English?(using ppt to show the pictures and words).Help them to say dictionary、schoolbag(backpack)、eraser、pencil box(case)、notebook„Here we can spend more time to help students remember e/ra/ser、Dic/tion/a/ry。

4、Practice:

1、Collect some school things (pen、pencil、pencil case、eraser„)from different students.At the same time, I may use “Excuse me, May I use/borrow your pen? Thank you for your help.” And help them to answer “That’s all right./You’re welcome.”

2、After we have all things we need, practice with students and write them down at the same time : T: Is this your/his/her pencil? S: Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.It’s mine/his/hers.(Give them a hand using ppt to show the usages of his、hers、mine)

3、Then let them to practice the simple conversation in groups of four using the things they know on the desk or in the backpack.

4、In the same way, help them to use “Are these/those „? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.They’re mine/his/hers.” Step

5、Listening practice:

1.Match the words with the words in picture 1a.Check the answers.(Using ppt) 2.Listen and number the conversations in 1b.Pay more attention to “his、mine、hers”.3.Listen and check the things they hear in 2a.Play again for them to check the answers. 4.Finish the task in 2b.First have them to try to choose the words in the box to complete the conversation below.Then play the recording a third/fourth time for them to check the answers.Make sure all of them get the right answers.Step

6、Pair work:

1.Practice the conversation in 2b.2.Choose two or more pairs to act out the conversation.3.Have them to make new conversations using the things they’ve just learnt or things they know before.Then choose some volunteers to act their conversations in the front of the claroom.Step

7、conclusion:

Ask the students to look at the blackboard and tell what we learnt in this cla.Step

8、Homework:

1、Read through the conversation in 2d circle the things we learn and the colors, Practice it with your partners.

2、Read through Grammar focus and try to finish 3a and 3b.Step
