Teaching Procedures Step Ⅰ Warming up

1.Greetings 2.Have a talk with students to make some sentences that include the –ing form.

3.Make students observe these four sentences and what the –ing forms are used as.The –ing form is used as the subject or the object.Step Ⅱ Grammar 1.The –ing form as the subject Make students look at the following sentences and discu with their partners, then summarize the uses of the –ing form.

Playing with fire is very dangerous. Seeing is believing. It is very important remembering others’ names.

It is no use crying over spilt milk.

* The –ing form as the subject expre usual or abstract behaviour.* If the subject is too long, we can use IT as the preparatory subject, and put the real subject to the end of the sentence, such as the third and the fourth sentence.* There is no use/good doing sth, such as the fifth sentence.

After summarizing, ask students to do Exercise 2 on page 13 in the SB4 to master what they have got.

教学反思 语法是英语教学和学习过程中最大的难题。如何能够将语法通过浅显易懂的方式让学生理解并掌握一直是我努力的方向。在不断

探索中和精心的准备下,本节语法课取得了很好的效果。 本节课的内容是:动词-ing形式作主语和宾语。三维目标分别是:知识与技能,使学生学会动词-ing形式作主语和宾语;过程与方法,引导学生通过例句与同桌探讨,总结出动词-ing形式的用法,并运用难易适中的习题来巩固;情感态度价值观,激发学生学习的兴趣,培养学生合作探究精神。

我正确地把握了课标的要求,并按照新课改的理念来设计本课。整节课,重点突出,内容充实,组织严谨,过程流畅,充分的激发和展现了学生的自主探究和学习能力。在导入部分,我选择了学生熟悉的话题:早起进行谈论,并由此造出含有动词-ing形式作主语或宾语的例句。通过共同探讨,总结出动词-ing形式可以作主语或宾语。之后,通过观察更多的例句,鼓励学生主动思考,积极讨论,总结出动词-ing形式作主语和宾语时分别应该注意的要点。然后,选择适当的练习让学生来检验自己是否掌握了这些要点。板书上通过使用不同颜色的字体来强调重点。

当然,本节课也存在一些需要改进的地方。首先,在本节课中含有一部分语法名词,学生不太熟悉。比如,preparatory subject(形式主语),preposition object(介词宾语),应该在课前把他们列出来,这样学生就能提前熟悉并掌握。其次,由于是鼓励,激发学生自主探究,所用时间稍长,导致课内做习题的时间缩短,只能将大部分习题放在课后完成。

人生是一个不断学习的过程。作为教师,更应该不间断的通过学习来充实自己。在以后的教学过程中,我会一如既往地勤奋学习,精心备课,认真上课,不断改进自己的教学方法,以取得更大的进步。
